Time is Not the Enemy, but Fear Is

What is time? Can you stop time?

We only have a limited amount of time available to us. If we waste it, we no longer can make the best of it. Time is not an unlimited resource. Why are you delaying? Why have you failed to take that first step forward? Are you waiting for more time? Have you made the conscious choice of not stepping forward, of doing something more with yourself, more with your life, more with your work?

Each *tick* of the clock, 3600 times every hour, steps us closer to the death knell.

Fear.

It paralyzes us it — freezes in our tracks. Why do we let fear rule us? Why don’t we learn how to use fear to our advantage? What happens when fear takes over? Time slows down, and it feels like time stretches into eternity. How do you use that time stretching tool to be able to produce more to do more?

What are you afraid of?

Time?

If we fear time, then what do we do to help alleviate that fear? Time — we try to stop time. We fight time with medical procedures. We want to find that Fountain of Youth. Is there a bit of chronophobia that mires our feet in sludge? Do you have a fear of the future or a fear of the passing of time?

Fear of the future? Hopefully not. This is the main thing that you should NOT be afraid of! Because of the actions that you are doing today, the activities that you are taking to make yourself better than yesterday, helping you set your own future. Hence, it is understood and even expected that you are not afraid of the future. You are making your future. You are investing in your future. Every choice you make, every action you take affects your future. Your choices allow your future to remain bright.

Fear of the passing of time? This one is certainly something you should pay attention to. You SHOULD consider the fear of the passing of time. Although there should not be the fear of the passing of time as it relates to old age, or as it relates to our eventual death. We should consider a reasonable dose of fear as it relates to accomplishing tasks or actions that step you closer to your goals. That fear should drive you to action. It is that time you take learning how to develop your skills in creating music. Or the time you take to level-up your artistic abilities with photography. Or the time you invest in becoming a student in non-traditional leadership development programs. Create a podcast, generate VLOGs, or make the effort to become a coach and a blogger — taking that action to be working that side-hustle. Heck, you can even be evil when you do it. Become a producer, not a consumer, and share your knowledge and experience-helps expand the consciousness of those willing to learn.

So — this is what you do. You look to those that are taking the effort to level-up and use them as inspiration. Use them as a model of what you can become. Check out the examples above and reach out to explore their art to learn and expand your capabilities as you investigate their trades.

Do not allow fear to rule you.

Make and take the effort to learn how to rule your time.  When you do that, the fear slips away, and success builds daily.

Go forth and be brilliant.
